NEW PATIENTS WELCOMEWondering if your situation is too complicated to bring to us?
It probably isn't. We built this practice for the people who have already seen other providers, tried the protocols, and still don't have answers. If you're not sure where your symptoms fit or whether physical therapy is even the right next step, that's the kind of question we want you to ask.
Reach out. We'll help you figure out what comes next.
QUESTIONS WE HEAR ALL THE TIMEThe stuff you're wondering before you call.
-
Paradigm is an out-of-network provider. After each session, we provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Most patients receive 50-100% reimbursement depending on their plan. We also accept HSA and FSA payments.
-
Because your care should be dictated by your needs, not by insurance regulations. Being out-of-network allows us to provide true one-on-one sessions for 60, 90, or 120 minutes without the limitations that in-network contracts often impose. Many patients find that accomplishing more in fewer visits actually makes this approach more cost-effective than months of short, rushed appointments elsewhere.
-
Not at all. We treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions alongside pelvic health. Dr. Emily is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and dry needling is available as part of your care. Sometimes the knee is the reason you're leaking. We find the connection others miss.
-
Nope. Maryland and West Virginia are direct access states, which means you can come straight to us without a physician referral.
-
We like to see patients for their first postpartum session between 4-6 weeks after birth. If you need support before the 4-week mark, we offer services in that time period as well.
-
Yes. Nursing and feeding during your appointment is always welcome. We also have a waiting area for family members or older children.
-
That's entirely up to you. We're comfortable treating during menstruation and can focus on external techniques if that feels better for you. If you'd rather reschedule, we can absolutely do that too.
-
Of course. Partners regularly attend sessions, and it can be especially helpful when we're teaching techniques or exercises you can practice together at home.
-
Whatever is comfortable. You don't need specific clothing, but we will likely be moving quite a bit, so wear something that allows you to move freely.
You don't have to have it all figured out before you call.
Bring the questions. Bring the half-formed worries. Bring the I-don't-even-know-where-to-start energy. We've heard it all, and we like the people who show up exactly where they are.
When you're ready, we're here.
