The team that traces every symptom to its source.

Board-certified pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapists in Hagerstown, MD. Built for complex cases. Grounded in clinical precision. Fueled by genuine curiosity about what's really going on in your body.

WHY PARADIGM EXISTS

We kept watching symptoms get treated in pieces instead of as a whole.

Patients would arrive with chronic pelvic pain, a history of back issues, a hip that never fully healed, and hormonal changes that made everything worse. And at every other clinic, those symptoms were evaluated separately. One provider looked at the pelvic floor. Another handled the hip. Nobody zoomed out far enough to see the full picture. Paradigm Pelvic Health was built to change that.

Founded by Dr. Emily Hargreaves Priestas, this practice exists because she saw how deeply connected pain, leaks, and dysfunction really are. So she built a place where complex cases are welcomed, intimate conversations are handled with skill and respect, and improving pelvic health isn't just about a symptom. It's about protecting your ability to exercise, to move without fear, to experience intimacy without pain, to show up fully in your life.

HOW WE THINK ABOUT THE BODY

Most providers treat the symptom. We trace the system.

Every patient who walks through our door gets evaluated through three lenses. Local, the pelvic floor itself, its muscles, nerves, fascia, and organs. Distant, the hips, spine, thorax, core, and feet that directly influence how the pelvic floor functions. And Systems, the hormones, nervous system, biomechanics, lifestyle, and behaviors that shape how your body responds to treatment and stress.

Where those three circles overlap is where the real answers live. Sometimes the reason you're leaking has nothing to do with the pelvic floor itself. It's a thorax that won't move. A hip that's been compensating for years. A hormonal shift that changed everything. When we evaluate all three together, patterns emerge that other providers miss. And treatment actually sticks.

Local includes pelvis, pelvic floor, fascia, nerves, scar tissue, pelvic organs, ligaments. Distant includes hips, spine, ribs, thorax, core, TMJ, feet, ankles. Wellness includes nervous system, hormones, biomechanics, underlying pathology, lifestyle factors, diet, behaviors. Where all three circles overlap labeled as Whole Body Pelvic Health.

Meet Dr. Emily.

Dr. Emily Hargreaves Priestas founded Paradigm after years of working inside a system that treated bodies in fragments. As a board-certified specialist in both orthopedics (OCS) and pelvic health (PRPC), she kept seeing the same thing. Chronic tailbone pain showing up alongside bladder issues. Hip problems tangled up with pelvic floor tension. Symptoms that only made sense when someone looked at the whole picture.

So she stopped waiting for the system to change and built a practice that reflects how she thinks about the body.

Her background in spine health and orthopedics is what makes her approach to pelvic care different. She doesn't just evaluate the pelvic floor. She evaluates the entire movement system, the hips, the thorax, the nervous system, and traces the connections others miss.

She also holds specialized certifications in orofacial, spinal, and pelvic floor dry needling that very few providers in Maryland carry.

Beyond the clinic, Emily is an adjunct faculty member at Marshall University and West Virginia University, a credentialed clinical instructor through the APTA, and an active member of the Global Pelvic Health Alliance. She's a Western Maryland native, a mom, an avid runner, and someone who genuinely loves untangling the complicated cases that other clinics can't quite solve.

Meet Dr. Meghan.

Dr. Meghan Clouspy first worked with Dr. Emily during a clinical rotation eight years ago. She knew then that pelvic health was her path. After earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University, she returned to where that spark started.

Meghan brings warmth, patience, and deep skill to every session. She specializes in pregnancy and postpartum care, bowel and bladder dysfunction, and pelvic pain across all genders. Her approach meets patients where they are. A new mom navigating recovery with a baby on her hip feels just as seen as someone walking in with years of unanswered questions. She creates that space for everyone.

She's currently pursuing additional certification as a Pelvic Rehab Fertility Specialist and is a certified Gait Analyst. Meghan is also the therapist most likely to hold your baby during your session. And she's very good at it.

When you reach out to Paradigm, there's a good chance Allison is who you'll hear on the other end.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT HERE

Care built around principles, not protocols.

ONE-ON-ONE

60, 90, or 120-minute sessions with our full, undivided attention. No double-booking. No rushing through your visit. Just focused, thoughtful care.

BOARD-CERTIFIED SPECIALISTS

Our providers hold nationally recognized certifications in both orthopedics and pelvic health. That rare dual expertise is what allows us to see connections that other clinics evaluate separately.

ON TIME, EVERY TIME

Your time is valuable and we respect it. We run on schedule because your day matters as much as your treatment.

PRINCIPLES OVER PROTOCOLS

No two bodies are alike, so no two treatment plans should look alike. Every plan starts with your history, your patterns, and your goals. Not a template.

ONGOING COMMUNICATION

We don't "discharge" you and hope for the best. We gradually back off the frequency and stay in touch as your life changes. When something new comes up, we're a phone call away.
